CHURCH GUIDELINES, POLICIES AND BROCHURES

BAPTISM: Classes are offered quarterly. 4 Classes are required for parents and godparents and do not need to be taken again for 2 years thereafter. All godparents, if married, must be in a 'Catholic church marriage' and proof must be furnished. They must not be in habitual violation of the 6th commandment. They must be practicing Catholics and they must have made their first reconciliation, first communion and be confirmed.    ***Baptism Brochure

FIRST RECONCILIATION AND FIRST EUCHARIST: Children must reach the age of  7 years before they celebrate their first reconciliation. First Communion preparation follows after the child has made their first reconciliation. Ideally, this is a two-year process of catechetical formation. It is expected that Sunday mass attendance is part of your family Faith life for parents and children. Parents are also required to help their children to know how to pray typical Catholic prayers (Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Act of Contrition, Apostle's Creed, Bless us  O Lord, and the responses for Mass) by heart before enrolling them in any sacramental programs.  First Reconciliation Brochure       First Eucharist Brochure       ***How to go to Confession Brochure

MARRIAGE: In accord with the Diocese of Pueblo Marriage Guidelines, 6 month preparation is required before marriage. Your Marriage date cannot be fixed until proof of freedom to marry has been established by documents. You must make an appointment to see the Pastor to begin the process. The documents normally required are 2 witness forms, new original baptismal certificates for both the bride and groom.    ***Wedding Brochure
